Another rust proofing question
I just bought a 2004 F150 in very nice condition. It looks to have been rustproofed/undercoated when new and there is very little rust (this is Cleveland, heart of the rust belt.) The few areas that did have rust I have neutralized with Ospho, and for the door panels, tailgate and hood I am spraying a brown waxy material that I bought from the local body shop store.
I have another vehicle I've been trying SprayOn777 rust inhibitor for two years with positive results so far.
I work in the steel industry and metal parts are protected all the time with thick waxy types of materials that look to work a lot better than the retail stuff.
Does anybody have experience with heavy duty industrial rust inhibitors?
What is the best way to recoat the whole underside?

Rustproof spray gun from Eastwood
I have been using "Rustfree" for quite a while on my dad's and my trucks. The stuff you discribe from your body shop sounds like it may be the same thing. We usually buy the black tinted version, just because we prefer the look of black. I had been shooting it with an old spray gun but my dad bought an undercoating/rustproof gun from Eastwood a year or two ago and it makes the job go faster and puts the stuff on much more evenly. I am going to try and start a thread with some pictures of a spray in bed liner I did with the same gun...
