Hey all,

I just purchased a 2005 F-250 6.0l w/ 75k and am in need of a shop to replace my oil cooler. I would like to get the BPD EGR cooler installed at the same time as well. I've recently replaced the thermostat and installed a Dieselsite coolant filter. I'm not seeing white smoke or losing coolant or oil currently, but with 186 ECT and 221 EOT readings, it wont be long.

I called a local place called Left Coast Diesel in Concord, but their mechanics were busy, so they took my name and number and never called me back. Not sure if I want to do business with them now.

Any suggestions on a local place to get this work done? How much it should cost (for those who have had it done)? Thanks.

I am an advocate for the use of Certified Ford 60 Techs at a Ford Dealership. I know of a good one but he his probably too far away for you, in Carson City, Nevada.

 

Yeah, I wouldn't even feel comfortable driving it up there even if I wanted to. That'd be an expensive tow too.
