meant to quote your earlier reply about the running boards. They are gone and I like it much better. Ran dual exhaust today too.

Take off those aluminum running boards and treat the area they bolt to, everything I've ever seen with them has rusted out, it's best to toss them out all together. Nice van tho, for fun, look to see if you can swap the I-beams with the TTB.
Hey Maples01 check it out. No more running boards

The van came from Umbrella Corp.Seams they weren't only responsible for the T-Virus outbreak in resident Evil but had some other stuff going on.Makes it really hard to be stealthy with all the radiation and they say never buy a vehicle in the dark. Pffft. I should have.

My 1982 ford swb E150 and my 1990 E150 project...

Love short Fords I have a few in the past and saved the 1990 from the crusher in Alamogordo NM. Almost on the road after lots of service. Trying to clean up old gm orange coolant sludge now.....

Saved from crusher in Alamogordo NM. On road very soon. 300 6 cyl w C6 AT AC loaded.

This van had Appliance Wheels w actual oak centers on top of a steel spoke wheel.

Those wheels look like the same American Racing 16 inch I used on my 1990 E150. I like your mirrors, rare Jr West Coast stainless steel. Had those on my first dodge in 73.
Nice van !!

Yep, dex-cool that GM uses turns to pudding when mixed with the green coolant, which is why GM vehicles can't be converted to the green stuff, you can never fully flush out coolant. Everytime you take your vehicle in for an oil change, you are at risk of the shop putting in the wrong coolant, and there is no universal stuff, it's one or the other.

Yes you can flush it all out. All it takes is time

I tried flushing one years ago, not trying to remove dex-cool but some red stuff, we wound up giving up, it refused to purge it all, either it was collected in pockets of the engine, or one of the heater cores, I imagine it would have been better to have taken it somewhere for a flush.

flush with water, drive , repeat
a day with water won't kill your engine
after 3-4 times, it's all gone

We quit after an hour, and it wasn't the sludge that you get mixing the GM and Ford coolant, it creates pudding, still don't see how you can get it all, which is why I cringe at the thought of discount oil changes.
My E350 is near impossible to get all the coolant out of it, it's due a change of the 3 year green stuff, not looking forward to it, should buy 50' of coolant hose and replace the rear, it's scabbed pieces on metal and rubber where the hold down mounts rusted the factory tin, shame on them not using stainless steel.

Sorry, not happening, the heater lines from the rear run up hill to the engine, it will not drain it all out, since I plan to replace most of it, theres no problem as it'll pour out when disconnected at the rear.
