I love this body style!! This is the van I'm buying for my band! Of course it needs a paint job and some work on the side barn doors before it looks as good as yours! Mine is a 351 with the crappy auto lol. Is that pain original? Nice van man!

my van in work mode.................http://www.fordtough.ca/forums/pictu...pictureid=3787

hauling something big ugly and heavy.
could definitely feel it back there

well I tried the cut/paste thing.............

used a superchip programmer on the tow safe mode, averaging 21.2 mpg towing keeping my foot out of it, but only 22.9 empty.
Imperial gallon is 4.54 litres , US gallon is 3.78 liters.
before the programmer 19.1 average towing, but 24.5 empty. maybe its just the novelty empty acceleration I'm still playing with.

Spacers

I was suprised when i install the wheels and i see difference between front and rear wheels lol, then i decide to find a good spacers and i try couple brands some of them ware poor quality ( ebay stuff) other i have shaking over 70mph and i found preety decent ones hubcentric no shaking and price is ok about 100$ shipped so if you looking for spacers choose some good quality ones but do not over spend like 200-300$ for it and BTW rides great and corner feeling its way different with my wide tires and spacers on the back also i instll the KYB monomax shocks man it is so much better then monroe shocks. good luck with the spacers

Brand of the fender flares are Bushwacker i dont remember part # for rear and back but fitment and quality its great, i paint them original ford black color i think looks better then stock flat black color, and i think van looks great it gave a nice "wide" look to it with wheels and spacers came out nice and BTW with flares spacers on the back its a must lol without spacers wheel its so much in it looks like crap , let me know if you need part # for flares but Bushwacker making only one set for front and one for back,

I really need to stop browsing pic threads of stuff I don't already have because it just makes me want a van even more. My dad used to clean carpets and windows do he had a '79 and then an '80 E350's with the 351w. I used to work in a lube shop on one of our regulars has a pair of white vans with wheelchair lifts since he was in a power chair. Both were early 80's one an e150 windowless and the other was either an e250 or 350 quadravan lifted on 35's with a bad *** which bumper and roof rack. It was already set up when he got it except for the wheelchair conversion. The county was selling an old e250 4x4 ambulance a while back for dirt cheap but I didn't have the scratch to bring that baby home.

One of the vans my dad owned was white. He sanded it down and did a little body work on it and rattlecan primered it white, actually looked better. Anyway one day I see him driving around and there's a big brown splatter down the side starting right under the driver's window. He chews tobacco and dumped his spit bottle out the window while driving!

I gave my Bushwackers to a friend, fit is crap, you have to work with them, shape with a dremel to get them to fit tight, I was backed into, I took them off, haven't fixed it to reapply, not interested.
