F6 used for a parts truck for F1 ?

Guys, I know a farmer who has a 1952 F6 (will post pics soon) that he not useing and it has an inline 6 flathead... I wanted to know if I could use it as a parts truck for the 48 F1 ?.. I was thinking I seen someplace that the f6 clabs and doors where the same ??.. If so I'd buy the F6 and use everything I can on my F1...
Thanks,
Cody

From a body parts and trim standpoint, including interior pieces, everything is interchangeable between the big truck and the half ton. The only difference is the size of the wheel openings in the front fenders. They're considerably bigger in the F-2/6 trucks than the F-1. If you don't care about that, or have good/decent/usable F-1 fenders to use, you're golden.

Note that the grilles are going to be different between the 52 and your 48, so if you want to look correct, you can't use the nose, and the rear window is larger and the dash is different in the 52 cab, as well, so using the 52 cab on the 48 will be totally different, too. Now all you're left with that's interchangeable is the doors. If you don't mind your 48 looking like a 52, once again, you're good to go.

The cab, doors, and gas tank wil fit. The flathead 6 is heavier than the 6 in the smaller trucks.

FYI, that's a 51, not a 52, and it has the deluxe interior and stainless window trim. Grab it if you can! The engine could be the 226 or the 254 flathead 6. Both are the same physical size, and have many interchangeable parts.

I'm gonna bet it's a 254 as that carburetor looks like a Holley 897. If it is a 254, the head & block should have casting numbers that start with 8MTH rather than 7HA, right?

SOunds right.

Also Cody don't forget the 48-50 have the smaller back window, 51-52 have the larger back windows. dash is different gages etc.
