Man, the wires in this kit are ALL wayyyyyy too damn long.

Anybody else have the same problem?

 

Yes. I heard the small block kit actually fits a 460 really good. Still like them though, very nice wires for the price.

 

How did you go about routing them so they look decent and are out of danger?

 

Maybe they go around the bottom of the valve cover then up to the dizzy ? Is there a loom kit sold for the wires ?

 

I just did the best I could, but 4-5" shorter would make it easy. Mine are safe but not pretty...

 

I have never bought a set of wires that were within 2" of my expectations. They were either a couple inches too short, or 3-4 inches too long.

Unless you get a custom set made, or make them yourself....they will never look under the hood.

This is just my experience with Autolite, Accel, Ford Racing, and MSD complete kits...

 

I did not have this problem on my 460 - they fit quite well. The #8 is the only one I would say is too long, but it's not like 6" too long, it's more like 3" too long. I just routed it up by the coil and then back down to the plug.
