Proverbial Front end "Clunk"
I WIN!!!!
After owning this truck for 5 years and 170,000 miles I finally have the front end feeling like a new truck. Here's a parts list:
Stabilizer bushings
Ball joints
Shocks
Calipers and pads
Ambulance rotors
needle bearings
Tie rod ends.
Dang thing was still clunking. Then, I read a post on here that said to open the door and push up on the door opening to rock the truck. So my neighbor and I did that and discovered a wobbled out shock bolt. So, I went a little further and changed
Rough Country Level lift
4 new shocks plus steering stabilizers
New Warn hubs
Pinion seal (rear end)
Carrier bearing
The truck finally feels right and tight!
I am now ready for some new vacuum lines for the EOS, some 19.5" wheels and tires and an alignment to set my steering wheel back to center.
But I totally love driving my truck again. God it sucks driving a rattling, clunking POS. I finally got the truck I always wanted!
