I would like to get the word out on repaired IDM's from this company. On Sept of 09 I had a IDM failed in my truck. I sent it over to this company for repair. They sent me one of there reman IDM's. It never worked right. It always thru codes. Since I have had 5 IDM's from them with the same issue. Still to this day I have code p1316,1271,1272,1275,1278. Went to a tech day and found Pete with a good IDM and this IDM runs fine no codes. Not sure what this company does with the IDM's, They will run the truck but it's that thing where you have codes all the time you drive and if you get to comfortable about it you could have other issues going on and end up burning up your motor.

 

I'm not a big fan of rebuilt parts. I think Robert got his rebuilt one from the same company and had several go bad iirc. A lot of people recommend them for pcm's. Personally I would try to find a used one from a junk yard.

I've been seeing more and more negative feedback about them. It's gotten to the point I've stopped recommending them.

 

I nearly lost $600 to them. If you look at their warranty you will find you can never get you money back.

Their revues on the web stink. Their Better Business rating stinks. What is odd is they have a very good rating at EBay. Something fishy there.

Beware.

 

I bought a reman IDM from them a couple of years ago. It always throws a P1298 code. It seems to working fine, but I plan to replace in the future with possibly an Alliant or GB.

 

We have used the Alliant for some time now and no issues. Just wish we could get brand new ones still.
