Thanks for all of that benny, its scary reading all of that!

Im going to grab that stuff from ford tomorrow and if it doesnt fix it i think its going to be a job for them to tackle it.(the diag part)

do they make new plugs for the end of the hpo rail? are they prone to leaking?

Update: Ford had the stand pipes and updated stc fitting.

I did the stand pipes and dummy plugs and still no start(the old parts looked new)

So i guess its on to the stc fitting...i hope its straight forward im trying to have it done by today, but once i get the hpop cover off, i will be taking my sweet time.

BTW, pay attention to the condition of the IPR valve screen when you remove it. If the screen is sucked in and broken, don't even think about re-using it or you will continue not being able to get your truck to fire up.

Yup, After buttoning it all back up(stand pipes and dummy plugs) I took out the turbo, and the screen was torn, and dirty, and pushed back, so I replaced the screen and o rings, put it back in cranked it till my battieres were almost dead and it chug chuged, but my turbo was out, so
i shut it off, put my turbo back in, since it was leaking oil from the feed and i went to crank it again and they were too dead to crank it...

So is it possible it was just the ipr the whole time?

This has me anxious. and annoyed.

Okay, after re-reading my reply I realized that perhaps I wasn't very clear. What I meant was, if the screen were to be found in the condition you've just described in highlighted bold red, replace the whole IPR valve itself, NOT just the screen and o-rings.

By what you've described, the truck is not going to stay running without cutting out again.

Thanks to M-chan68 for the part numbers!

Factory dummy plug on the left, new one one the right, the only difference I see is a little longer.

New stand pipes from ford also...
The bottom one is stock the top one is new.

And the little thing that im most worried about...
Whats causing this to happen? second ipr in about 5 months....

But, I notice a HUGE difference in this truck running, the injectors sound like their a lot happier now, it really sounds like a 6.0 again, and the power is all there no loss or anything starts up normally like it always did.....

Thanks everyone!

the difference in the standpipes and plugs are that little plastic o ring in the middle. it is like a back up i think if the actual o ring fails. i still would have done the STC while you were there and yes replace the IPR i would hate to see another post like this

I know I should have, but I had to get my truck out of the road...someone called the police on me for it being parked there! I live on a back road and dont get much traffic at all..the tow truck couldnt get it in my spot in the driveway.

I will do the stc in the winter when i get the garage....

I just cant explain how different the truck is running and how healthy it sounds when it starts.

I did strip the nut on the up pipe clamp so its not completely tight, tomorrow that will be fixed.

Its really easy, either pull the turbo, or I know guys cut a slot in a socket and get it with the turbo still in place.
