Gibson use to make guitars in the Zoo but like most things they are long gone. Many car companies started in Kalamzoo. Checker Cab company use to make cars here but finally shut down a couple years back. I love the area because of all the car history. Studebaker and Packard were right down the road as well as the big 3.
