A '97 F150 would have had a modular V8 not a windsor, are you sure about the year of that truck? If it really is a '97 then you are in uncharted territory because the I6 was never offered in it so there are no frame perches available and you will have to make them, and you need a trans too because whatever is in the '97 won't bolt up to the I6.

OK trucks confirmed to be a 4.2. Towers from the other truck measure out to fit with minor modifications. I instructed him to clean everything and blast it before priming with a weld through primer. 17 inches mount to mount and 23.5 inches from the condenser will be spot on. The real fun comes wiring it up. I think I'm going to make a write-up of it as a return on all the help I have gotten from forums over the years.
