Part search - 1970 Ford F-100 front discs conversion
Alright so I'm calling on my Ford lovin brothers/sisters. I need a set of 73-79 front spindles so I can finally get my baby movin again. Can any of yall help me out? None of the junk yards in my general area have such parts. I'm tired of seeing the ol' Ford sittin. So could yall lend me a hand?
Edit: 2wd 73-79 spindles

You are going to need much more than spindles to do a disc brake upgrade. There are a couple or so ways to do this but only one that I recommend. I have done it several times both for myself and helping others.
You need to find a complete donor truck and buy it, that way all the needed parts will be there. Find one that has the engine and transmission that your truck has or that you want yours to end up with. My truck came with a 3 spd manual, I wanted an auto so I found a donor with a C6. I wanted to upgrade to power steering so that match up is critical since the column has to be swapped too.
Doing it this way will keep you from having mismatched parts.
Let us know what concerns that you might have and we will try to help.

Wait, do you have to have power steering to get disc brakes? If so, I have power steering so check that and I also have a booster for disc brakes. All I need is the actual kit but 1970 F-100 2wd kit are EXPENSIVE!!! And from what I've been told all I need are the spindles from a 73-79. If I need more stuff please let me know.

LMC offers a complete kit.
The other option is a swap from a Dentside. IIRC, spindles (disc equipped) for 73-75 and 76-79 use different size kingpins. Compare the PNs between the 67-72 and the above series in the LMC catalogs and you'll see what I mean. The spindles will also require the corresponding steering linkages. In the end, I recommend getting the entire front end (radius arms, I-beams, discs, spindles, tie rods, etc.) so it won't require keeping track of what's what. Ya know?
If ya can find a PB Dent, then all the better. Btw, there may also be some difference in the brake pedal pivot point btwn disc and drum-equipped trucks.

1966/72 F100 (w/drum brakes), 1973/74 F100 & 1975 F100/150 before serial number W40,001 use the same kingpins (C8TZ-3111-A-resin bushings or D2TZ-3111-A-bronze bushings).
1975 F100/150 from serial number W40,001, 1976/79 F100/150's use different king pins (D5TZ-3111-A).
1973/79 F100: Manual disc brakes were standard equipment, power disc brakes were optional.

My disc brake upgrade cost me -0- money. I did have a lot of labor involved.
I hope you can see that you don't have to spend $1000.00 to get disc brakes on your truck.

Well you see the thing is my truck is in Tennessee and I'm in Virginia. My cousin took on the task of getting my truck back into shape for me and as he said he couldn't find any Fords between the years of 73-79. If I were out there I would have no problem doing it the way you suggest but I'm just not in the position to do so.

I ordered my disc conversion from Classic Performance Products in Cali. I want to say the kit was around $700. IMO, that is the way to go because it is all new parts so you have nothing to worry about, all you do is knock out the king pin, install the whole sack of potatoes, lol, spindle, rotor, caliper, and then hook up your lines. Done, and now you can stop in about half the distance.
