Column Shifter to Floor Shifter

Hey everyone,

Did a quick search on google and on here and didn't really find the info I was looking for. Has anyone here done the mod to move their column shifter to the floor on their '92-'96 F-150, E4OD?

I just like the feel of having the shifter to my right and think it would look pretty neat. The middle of the bench is never used and it wouldn't be a big deal to throw a shifter in there.

I was thinking of taking a manual shift stick from the junk yard and rigging up my own linkage where the column shifter would have hooked up to the tranny. Think it would work? I would get a hurst auto shifter, but money is tight right now and would rather try to come up with something myself for a few bucks. Let me know what you guys think!
