Goofed on A/C mod need advice

I was flushing my radiator and disconnected a hose from my ranger valve i use on the ac mod.I noticed when the air is on coolant flows through it when it is off it,or the heat is on nothing flows through it,what did I do wrong? It is an early 99 and i used the white vacuum line by the passenger foot area for the vacuum line.Any help is appreciated. John

Are you certain you have the correct valve?

I used the white line so that the valve is active only when in MAX.

But you sound like the valve is acting just the opposite of what you need it to do, and that leads me to think you don't have the correct valve.

Assuming this is the valve from Diesel-site,make sure that arrow on valve points toward water pump (forward)when installed on heater hose??
Locate white vacuum line under dash board under glove box. Remove the fitting from valve and install tee supplied.
Route new vacuum line thru dash board following path of old black line. Once in the engine area connect the line to the new control valve.
Like Pop's, it is only active in MAX.
I can scan and send if I have address???

Yes, white is only Max, but red is all air operations and outside cool air too. Thats what I read on Robins post with a ford deversion valve and part number, I can't seem to find right now. Good luck, Chet

I can't really see what you did in the pics.

Use this LINK as a guide and re-check your work.

Tee into the white or red depending on when you want the valve to divert the coolant.
