Which wire harness should I go with
#31
I'll be glad to, but it will probably be a while since right now I'm blowing the truck back apart to do the final welding on some of the details that were just tacked together in the mock up stage.

Thanks Lorolr,,,,yours looks GREAT! I am trying to decide how many circuits I need. I am not running anything fancy, just the basics other than a cooling fan, amp,and a few engine gauges. This might sound stupid but what constitutes a circuit? for example does headlamp equal 4 circuits or 2? Thanks for the pics and info!

I must be nuts...I made my own!
Really it was easy. The fuse panel I got is easily found at most RV surplus stores. The wire was from a friend for doing a brake job a year ago that I never charged for. The biggest expense was loom and connectors. The best part, I can add circuts till the cows come home and there is plenty of room in the loom for more wires. The only oddball system was turn signals because of the brakelight switch. Other than that, it was a breeze. The wires were hung in a weekend, the next few days were spent making connections and tucking it all away. Not a problem since.
I couldnt afford a wiring harness then...still cant. I intend to wire my Beetle myself when the time comes to redo the wires in that as well.

I'm no expert but i've always understood a circuit to be a number of electrically powered items that have 1 circuit breaker installed to protect them. For example all gauge power can be on one circuit. Larger items like heater are on 1 circuit. Tail lights and license light on another. My Rebel Wire is 9 circuits + 3 spare for add-on.
