CA Emissions to Non-Emissions

Anyone have a carburetor part number to a '79 F-150 with a 302, manual trans without california emissions. Getting rid of most of the emissions crap, and trying to rebuild a carb to specs without CA emissions. Motor has also be rebuilt, and slightly modified from OEM, so there's no point in keeping everything else OEM.

I guess that's the new part number? My number for the carb is D9TE-9C485-CRA. That matches a part number for a rebuilt kit from autozone, but they offer 3 types of kits with different reference numbers.

Just buy a rebuilt for a non California application. Check the throttle shafts for slop on any rebuilt unit.

How bout picking up a nice used Edelbrock performer manifold and a new Holley 600cfm carb with electric choke. You would be much happyer with that combo and it would cost less then $300

CA Emissions to Non-Emissions

A holley is a little ways down the road. I'm just trying to rebuild a carb to get me by for now. The darn remanufactured carbs from autozone don't seem to be worth anything. I'm looking to buy a rebuild kit from autozone, by GP sorensen I think. They offer three different kits, but they go by the tag number on the carb. That's the number I'm looking for, that's on a non-emission '79 302. The kits do vary, they contain a different power valve and something else I can't think of right now.

The -CRA part of that number above is the important part.

That number you gave is a good number.

Edit:
The Sorenson Kit Number for the Carb number entioned above is 15718A

CA Emissions to Non-Emissions

Mil1ion,

Is there any way you could give me a D9TE-???? number that would match a non-emission carb on a 302?
I've checked with napa, they offer like 5 kits that all go by the carb tag #, instead of motorcraft's replacement #'s.
As far as a cross reference number, the parts guys around here look at me like I'm crazy. oh well.

I guess that's the new part number?

My number for the carb is D9TE-9C485-CRA.

Edit:
The Sorenson Kit Number for the Carb number mentioned above is 15718A

I don't know how I could have it more clear than :
the number you posted above D9TE-9C485-CRA has a Sorenson rebuild Kit number 15718A or 15719A as shown.

Get this Kit !

If you would like the Only other thing I can do to confirm this is Scan the info from the Books I have.

Fyi > This Number (9C485) Means nothing.
