f150- f250 front-end conversion

Ok this is just a thought idk if it would work. Put a f250 rearend under a 150 and now im screwed if a tire goes flat unless i carry 2 spares. one for front and one for back. so could i just get a rotor off a 250 and put on the 150 to have same bolt patterns all around? Or is it like everything and theres no way to get out of it that easy? lol thanks for the help.

You can do an 8 lug conversion using parts from an old Chevy 3/4 ton axle.

I know I'm always the invasive one, but why the 3/4 rearend? Most guys that have done it are running huge tires.

well its our farm truck so it has pulled some pretty heavy loads for a half ton rear end and it up and said '' i quit'' so went with a 3/4 rear and havent had to worry about it.

going to a sterling 10.25 rear end is a smart replacement choice. yes you will have 8lug but its a stout axle and is full float. just do the 8lug upgrade up front, dont try and toss a d50 under there you will have no gain in strength over the d44 you have now.

Just pull the TIB suspension from the 250 and swap it as well. It's a direct bolt in.

Actually its not a direct bolt on. he would be going from a coils to springs and for what? the TTB leaf sprung setup sucks.

And the way a F150 TTB bolts in to the center crossmember is Different the way a F250 TTB bolts in. Your best bet would to be is bolt in a D60 solid axle. Or just ditch the 1/2 ton and find a 3/4 or 1ton truck

Don't use chevy parts wth. The graveyard has the the d44 spindles that'll bolt on. The old dentside trucks had a hd d44 with the 8 lugs.

Look up 1973-1979 front dana 44 heavy duty. You'll need the hubs and spindles. Maybe the caliper bracket. And of course the rotors.

do your research on this, there is a reason chevy parts are used. they are plentiful, cheap and can be found at most autoparts stores. the graveyard setup will not be cheap and i am not sure it will work on a TTB front end.

What he said. FORD Solid axle D44 parts are NOT interchangable with TTB parts

The Ford parts aren't really Ford parts... they're Dana parts. The chevy uses Dana parts too. IDK what the big deal is. Just use what works.
