Ex owners, do you have a pickup also?

I have a 2002 F350 dually Crew Cab, 7.3. I tow a race car (Mustang) on an open trailer. Had that puppy since new and am not about to sell it. Just a few weeks ago I picked up two pallets of block wall blocks. One trip, try doing that in the X.
Although I must say the truck now gets a lot less use as the X handles most of anything I want to carry.

It's way cheaper to have a small trailer than
to own another vehicle.
insurance is like $45/year for the trailer!
We have 6x8 ft PJ Utility w/2' wire side ($1500)
and it's great for hauling things with our Jeep in CO.
Here's a pic of our Jeep & trailer @ work.

You could also consider a hitch-mounted carry-all
they run about $100 @ Northern Tool & most auto places. If you have < 500 lbs to put in.

Well I have a very small hitch haul that I used on my Kawasaki Prarie so that could work for gas cans and coolers and such. Then I have the 5x14 ramp gate single axle trailer for most general hauling then there's the trailer that makes me need another truck of some kind, the 20' bumper pull equipment trailer that I use for my old car hauler. It's just too much for my F150 with a 20' 1959 Cadillac on there.
With twins on the way I figured an Excursion would be a great all purpose truck for me. Just worried I would miss the pickup. But my F150 has a bed cover so it's not unlike having a big SUV anyway I guess.
Sounds like I need to keep the hunt on for an Excursion. Thanks for the input guys!

I had a '97 F150 4x4 (5.4) when I bought the Ex. The pickup has remained my daily driver and I take the Excursion when we're on the road or I'm pulling the boat.
I put a fairly expensive ($900) BakFlip tonneau cover on the pickup several years ago. It encloses the bed, makes it nearly waterproof, and locks via the tailgate lock. Since I maintain a number of rental properties, I love having some place to put sheets of plywood, paint, shingles, debris, tools, etc. Yeah, it costs more than a trailer, but I don't see myself giving up the truck and turning the Ex into a daily driver.
