down shifting at highway speeds, gets very loud

at highway speed 70mph if i go WOT it will downshift 2 gears and gets very loud, it almost sounds like a fan clutch that is still engaged, if i let it down shift 1 gear its not as loud its got 113000 miles and 1 month ago it had a complete flush and fill on the trans it ran fine till today

any input would be great thanks
at anyother speed it will downshift with no problems at all, runs great
all most forgot 2004 f150 5.4liter crew cab lariat

What exactly is the noise? My truck breathes pretty well for a stock truck, or so I think. I only have the Gotts Mod though, and a custom tune, nothing additional. With that said, she sucks a good amount of air above 3500RPM and makes quite a bit of what I would call "normal" engine noise. My truck will also do a 4-2 shift at near WOT around 60-70MPH while attempting to pass or merge.

Is the truck a recent acquisition? Only asking that to see if this noise is a new occurance, or if the truck is new to you. From what you've stated, it sounds mostly normal. My truck howls when I get on her.
