10 hours to get to DC. most of which was spent sitting before the GWB. one full hour of engine off talking to people in the highway because we hadnt moved in a long time.

Avoid the Cross Bronx and Manhattan like it was Chernobyl. Especially when both levels of the GWB are under construction, like they are right now.
Always take 287 over the Tappan Zee and head down the Pallisades or 9W to the Turnpike.

Spent the night at the Speedbowl with the GF watching the Valenti Mod Series and my favorite, the ISMA Supers. Someone came close or broke the record (not sure which) for the fastest lap, over 110mph average around the bowl which is freakin' hauling the mail. Had a great time!
