Ford is getting some great advertising from IRT! I'll bet these GM / Ram guys are about fed up with that show.

It amazes me that people actually buy into that kind of shameless advertising. Anybody who knows their stuff would know that since that truck had been sitting for some time there was likely no air left. You never see them charge the truck with air or cage the brakes. Thus at least the front rear axle or more likely both rear axles wouldn't be turning and the F150 wouldn't be pulling it.

As mentioned that demo is about traction and not power, so Ecoboost is irrelevant. It takes a lot of traction but not much hp at the ground to do what they did.

Most in the cold are running synthetic in the rears. My point is that a 10hp engine would pull a big truck with the brakes released if it has traction.

I love the plug but its slight of hand.

Also in the US steer axles are open pod. Not sure about Canada.

Anyone think GM or Ram wouldn't try to benefit from a plug like that from IRT?

On a sad note I just ordered a new 12 expy for the wife and no EB to be had. Only motor is the old tried and true gas drinking 5.4. Onlythe expy and the navi still use the 5.4 as ford must have some laying around and wants to use them up. We are trading in a 2011 ford expolrer 4x4 with only 5 thousand miles on it. We sold a 07 expy to buy the explorer, our third expy by the way. We both hate the 11 explorer, all it is is a taurrus station wagon. And it has electrical problems but instead of taking it in so they can try to fix it, I am going to take it back and just trade it off when the king ranch expedition shows up which will probably be around the end of nov to the first of dec. Also just ordered a 12 screw fx4 EB in race red with a black 20 inch wheel option. This truck can be had with a 3.73 or 4.10 as a option. I wanted the 4.10 but could not spec it with the appearance package which the black wheels come with. Oh well the 3.73 probable is a better match for the wide torque curve of the 3.5 EB engine.

I seen on truck trend that the EB is the fastest f150. It even smoked a 6.2 powered 150. But they did not race a raptor. Anybody know have a raptor would stand up against the rest of the F150 trucks with the ecoboost. I would think a raptor may be slower but am not sure. It does have the 4.10 ratio, but now you can get the EB in a FX4 with the 4.10 ratio, but not with the black wheel option for some crazy reason.

I have a EB F150, it is powerful and will probly out-tow my 2000 F350 7.3 truck. For the record, a few years back, a freightliner road tractor missed the driveway and slid into the yard and got stuck in about 10 inches of snow. I pulled him back out to the road with a LITTLE 1990 RANGER 4x4 and a good stretch rope.

Ford trucks rock..
