Mustang help
I have a 99 convertible and the top not closing correctly. When I close it the windows are on the outside of the top. The windows seam to be leaning out about a half an inch both sides. I am not sure if top caused the lean or if the window are causing the problem. I there a way to adjust the top? The windows? Does anyone know a a shop in Boise that works on the convertible top if this is something I can not do my self?
I posted on a mustang forum but never have had to good of luck getting back any help and I know all of you on this site are quick to help.
Thanks
Keith

I'm assuming you have power windows, so here's my input.
Have you pulled the door panels to check if the glass has dislodged from the tracks? Have the tracks loosened up from their mounting points? Has the regulator become worn out? Sometimes the glass is held in by push-pins and other times they are bolted in. These points get worn out and / or loosen up. Bolts can be tightened, the push pins (plastic) need replacing if they're not part of the glass assembly.
We had a similar situation with my wife's Ford Contour. The driver-side window regulator had to be replaced several times before we traded in the Contour.
(Trouble submitting this reply. I hope it didn't double-post.)
