1990 Ford E-350 Dually with 7.3 L Alignment question
I will soon be getting my toy back and decided I would have them go ahead and do an alignment. I was told
"on that van camber caster is extra cause you have to take apart the knuckle to put in different cams."
What does this mean? And is there something I can do to NOT have to this every time an alignment is needed?
Thanks

Not familiar with that year's front suspension but it seems to me camber was established or corrected by bending the I-Beams, specialized tooling naturally.
Your best bet is taking your van to a heavy truck shop, one that deals mostly with larger vehicles. Vans are almost like toys to them and they're not in the business to overload you with BS and inflated invoices.
Caster is pretty much designed in but affected by radius arms----making sure the bushings in the frame mounts are in good shape is important. I replace mine with urethane parts whenever I do any front suspension or alignment work---they tend to out last the vehicle itself.
