V-8 5.4 trans fit a V-10 6.8

Does anyone know if a 5.4 Triton fit a 6.8 Triton

From my understanding the 6.8 is just a 5.4 with 2 extra cylinders so it should bolt up. What are you trying to do?

Put a 4r100 trans from a 5.4 behind a 6.8

It will bolt up. The internals on the 5.4L trans are not as strong, some of the clutches have less plates. I don't remember the details of which ones.
