1973 F250 8 lug 6-1/2 Tires

I have a '73 F250 that I thought I would go out and buy tires for today! 8 lug 6-1/2" that takes 16.5" tires that noone has. Can I buy rims from an auto salvage yard from a newer F250 that will fit and get into a easy to find tire?

And I believe all 8 lug Econolines are still 8x6.5 pattern.

If i'm not mistaken Chevy and Dodge still use 8x6.5 (if they went metric too it was recently) Ford went metric in '98 (8x170mm).

Greatly appreciated! I started 10 years ago to restore this truck and stopped. Now my son wants to take over. I would not have dreamed tires would have been an issue, but I am ready and expecting more!
Thanks

when looking at Chev/Dodge wheels, check out the hub size,
the ford's D60 has floating axles that stick out thru the center of the wheel (bigger than the dodge (maybe the chevy too)

but just about all aftermarket 8 lug wheels will fit all of them

D60

I ran in to the same issue with my 77.. I went to the junk yard & found 16 inch wheels. 98 & older 250/350 used 8x6.5 lugs. 99 went to 8x170

chevy 14 bolts have the same size hubs, Chevy rims will fit, however I'm pretty sure they won't fit a front dana 60, but can't confirm (I have aftermarket rims)

There are lots of good Econoline Van wheels and in my area they sell cheaper than truck wheels even though they are identical. I am running wheels off of a 2000 E250
