Offy or Clifford intake on a 76-86 E-150 300-6
Given how tight the stock carb & air filter setup is on the 3rd gen E-150 with the inline six, I was wondering if one of the long runner 4 bbl carb intakes would fit in the dog house with an aftermarket air filter.
Anyone have a photo or know if it fits?
Thanks.
...87-91 were injected, yes?

and you loose the high rpm runners. Maybe better on a clifford?

Offy or Clifford in Econo bay
From what I've read (at fordsix.com mostly) the Clifford might be the better choice, because the carb flange uses an adapter that allows you to rotate the carb 90 degrees and keep the float bowl out of the fire wall/ heater core.
The Offy 'C' series doesn't have divided runners and would be more flexible when using carb adapters too.
A post I read said the Offy was a better casting. More room for mounting washers and nuts. Uniform flange thickness matches exh manifolds.
