so after reading For a couple of hours I think I'm more confused. Will a OEM navigation unit from a 08 F250, plug and play in my 08 F250? I would be upgrading from the OEM 6-Disc w/aux button and Xm.

 

It should; I don't think it is VIN specific. Key thing is do you have the steering wheel audio controls, do you have Sirius; and although I'm not sure why they want to know if you have the back-up sensors.

I bought a NAV radio off of E-BAY about six months after buying my truck; I then sent the factory NAV radio to a guy in TX who programmed the radio to work in my truck.

If you buy the NAV out of another F-250 that doesn't have Sirius, and you have Sirius; then your Sirius may not work. If you buy it from a Mustang, then your steering wheel controls probably wont work and the speed signal will be programmed for the wroing input on the radio......

Don't see why it wouldn't. Just have to get the features, as has been mentioned, programmed properly for your vehicle.

That said, if you're used to a portable nav system, don't expect the Ford factory system of our vintage to be anywhere near as smart as your portable.
