Bout to hit the road driving from San Diego CA to newburgh NY in my truck and the wife's expedition! Should be fine, both vehicles are running great, but 3000 miles is a long way, so keep your fingers crossed for me! Can't wait to see everyone at RRE on the way! Keep the prayers headed my way brothers!
Well, made it to tuscon no problem! Found out two things: no a/c through AZ mid day sucks BAD, and my truck does pretty well at 75 mpg wise! Off in the morning from tuscon to texas!
Safe trip!
Say hello to the Hudson Valley for me! Born and raised in Cold Spring NY, about 10 miles south of you on the river. Boy the Hudson Valley is beautiful, too bad it got so crowsed. and make sure you eat some pizza, and get some good sandwiches!

I've been having the worst luck in this heat out here with vacuum pumps. It's probably a good idea to have a spare with the pulley mounted on it. Watch your speed in Texas. These troopers love Ca plates especially.

Say hello to the upper Hudson Valley for me as well. Newburgh is my Dad's hometown. We are the only ones West of the Missippi River. Pizza is the best there, but the aLexis diner or the Coachlight in New Windsor is great as well. That part of NY proves there is more to the state than NYC. Ask the locals about old route 12 between Newburgh and Westpoint. One of the greatest stretch of scenic road in the USofA. Great luck on the trip. If you take I70 thru Kansas wave south when you pass thru Lawrence, I will wave back.
Well made it to memphis! Had a minor setback in Texarkana when my dog decided she didn't want to wait in the truck anymore and jumped through my back driverside window, shattering it. Don't have time to stop and get it fixed, so I'll be finishing the drive with the windows down. anyone know of a good junkyard in upstate NY?
