for what it's worth, I didn't like the idea of putting my ATV in the bed and either removing the tailgate when towing a TT or keeping it down. I opted for the long bed on my 6.0 and again on my 2011 CC Lariat 350. Have since upgraded the trailer too to a 38' 5vr but the big bed is nice.Even use it as a daily driver although some spots are not accessible. You don't always have to fill up the space, but it's REAL nice when you need it!

You guys just need smaller ATV's!
My little Honda Fourtrax 300 fits in my short bed with the gate closed no issue including two half-folding 8 ft ramps.
But I have noticed ATV's these days are nearly the same size as a small utility tractor.
