That didn't just happen from sitting for two years. If it had, the outer brake surface of the disc would still be there.
It would be advisable to spring for a set of jackstands if you plan on working under the truck in the future. Working on it with just a jack holding it up is a easy way to get seriously injured.

Not sure why you're quoting me over two years later, but the outer disc surface being found in the bed of the truck only further validates that the rotor didn't get that way just from sitting for two years.

I'm pretty sure they were cheap **** China made metals, that were probably 3-4 years old by the time I got to it, my Aunt's ex-husband wasn't very well known for keeping things up, or buying the good stuff. So yeah I agree with ya, it's probably more like 3-4 year old brakes, but sat in the same place for 2-3 of those years, last I saw it driven was May or June of 2009, then I got a hold of it in August 2011.
