Talking

I use my chain saw, the wind off the bar from the chain works great. Be careful you don't get too close. Sorry couldn't help myself. That is a great idea using the leaf blower.

Same here....if I ever washed my truck I'd try the blower idea...Except I'm afraid if I wash my truck, I may have to repaint it.

a leaf blower? a leaf blower is used to blow around big elements on the ground, which im sure would take a hefty intake of air to power... which also tells me that airborne particles and contaminants are drawn in by that powerful intake.... and since leaf blowers arent meant to dry off $10,000 paint jobs, why would they be careful enough to filter the air that its blowing? so there you have it... a ghetto rigged sandblast job lol me? before i did that, i would go the route of either getting a small air compressor, or even several cans of compressed air to blow out any water in the hard to reach places... because leaf blowers dont really pack a punch as it is, at least nothing like an air compressor or can of compressed air, and those are cleaner ways of doing it... rather than blowing a bunch of dust all over your brand newly washed cars..... just my $0.02

Yes I have used a leaf blower for many years. We recently moved to a house with a bigger yard and so I had to get a bigger leaf blower. Tried to use it to dry the truck and threw by darn back out (it's an 11 hp that I tow behind my tractor). I'll have to look for one of those shop vac combos.

Blowers also work wonders for your carpet floor mats, too. I have a leaf blower/vac and after getting frustrated with trying to vac up the mess my kids left in my wifes car, I used the leaf vac attachment to suck out the rear floor board. Not sure if it really had any better results than the shop vac, but it felt good and the kids got the point.

I work on small engines as a side business. I have seen many gas-powered blowers that exhaust the engine into the air tube. These were mostly Homelites and were older models. So, beware!
My 2 year old Echo blower exhausts out the side, not into the air tube.

Ok, I'll admit it, I have thought about using the leaf blower. Worse than that, has anyone every used a hair dryer to set the wax on a cold day do it can be buffed off.
Works like a charm. Ha.
