Yet another "help me choose aftermarket headlights" thread

Looking at 3 different options currently:

1992-1996 FORD BRONCO F150 LED HEADLIGHTS+CORNER BUMPER | eBay

92-96 F150 F250 F350 TRUCK LED HEAD LIGHTS+BUMPER LAMPS | eBay

92-96 BRONCO/F150/F250/F350 HALO PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS | eBay

Currently leaning toward option #2. I think they would look pretty slick on my truck, but I can't decide if the full clear (option 1) would look better or not.
I like that option 3 is all one piece and the projectors are neat, but buying 2 sets of HID's for the separate high/low bulbs would drive the cost waaaay up. Would HID's even be needed in the projectors? Plus I'd have to find some mylar or some other way to make the outer trim chrome... black wouldn't look good on my truck.
Thoughts, suggestions...

I don't like the projectors in number 3. I'd go with 1 or 2, but its really hard to decide which one without seeing it on your truck.

I looked at these a year or two ago, but could not decide. Looking again, I think I am veering towards Option #2. My truck is black, and I would like to cut down on the flashy bits.

Whatever you get, pics are a must.

Well I like # 2, just don't like the shipping cost.

I vote for number 1 on your truck.... Although number one and number 2 are both nice.

I had a set similar to number 3 (Here is a link)on my '99 F-150 for a while and after a couple years I took them off and went back to the stock lights. The lenses yellowed and oxidized quickly, they never did seem to fit right when I got them aimed where they needed to be, and about half the little LED's crapped out and quit working.

Maybe I just got a cheap set of lights, I don't know. One thing I would say, however is to hang onto your stock lenses, just in case...

just one thing to remember with those aftermarket lights guys.
they say they are "100% street legal"
but they do not say where. notice that none of them say they are DOT approved??

if anything happens, and the cops look closely at your vehicle with those lights in them, you can become chin deep in sheit, even if you had the rite of way and the other person was 100% at fault in an accident.

Two good points in a row. The build quality on those lights are what one might expect for an aftermarket product and no DOT imprint on them will get the nastier cops writing more paper.I bought some Euro lights super cheap for my car because a Cali cop told the previous owner to take them off. No DOT approval stamp. No matter that they are actually safer...

Exclamation

Another thing to consider is that you have to look if the new headlights has the side yellow reflector that is needed for law, maybe the DOT includes that IDK. Mine dont have it and I had to install an external reflector.

I'll be going with option 2, soon hopefully. As with Whitey, 55w 5000k HID's and LED bulbs all around.

Modification May Require For Using HID Lighting System and I cant see the amber reflector in the sides of them (the option 3 has them), but I like the way they look like.
