Someone with 4x4 BTS trans... or SD 4x4 4R100

BTS website says they use 4R100 tail housings on their E4OD so I'm sure they fit the same.

My question is, is is cast iron or aluminum? Which material is going to be better?

And also the E4OD 4x4 transmissions for OBS trucks don't have a speed sensor hole, correct?

The E4OD housing is aluminum, pretty sure the 4R100 housing is cast iron. The 4R housing is supposed to be stronger, that's why BTS uses it instead of a E4 housing... just want to be sure...

Local trans shop said they could get me a cast iron housing from a 4R without the sensor hole for $100

I'm telling ya... the shift linkage for the t-case was holding it all together. Clean it up good, JB weld the snot out of it, you'll be fine man!

Yeah... don't really feel like having the transfer case fall out of the truck going down the highway. Maybe if I JB weld it and then a double layer of duct tape...

The black duct tape is the strongest.
