I have an '89 extended cab C2500 that needs replacing. I have found a 2008 F250 regular cab V10 with very low mileage at what seems to be a reasonable price. I use the truck for light hauling and several 100 mile, 10K pound, goose neck hauls a year that I can't afford to break down with. Question, what should I be looking at in judging if the truck is really a good buy and what should I be worried about?
Not much out there with a better track record for dependability than a V10. With under 20k miles on an 08, there really should only be minor wear and tear if any.
I had an 06 F350SRW V10 auto, traded in at 196k miles same tranny no engine work oil and plug change, was al,have 08 F350 V10 SRW crew cab now and still love the V10
Thanks all. Stopped at the dealer to check it out but the dealer is closing doors and sent everything to thr auction. If it doesn't sell they will call me back but I may chase it to the auction.
Ten thousand is a walk in the park. I've been towing the 12000# trailer I have in my signature for the last 5 years with my truck. In fact I'm currently on a month long trip with the truck and trailer.
