What frame will my 66 f100 body fit onto??

i have a 1966 f100 and its in pretty good shape and runs but it doesnt have 4x4. So im looking for a frame of a truck that already has 4x4 so i can just drop the body of my 66 on it. cause u cant have much fun with a 2 wheel drive truck or atleast i cant.

Welcome to FTE! the best swap will be a 66-77 4x4 f100/250 frame, ( a Highboy if you can find one) your cab and front end will bolt right on it! you may need to re-drill holes for the bed, but thats about it. just make sure you find out about re-body regs for your state, most likely you will need a title for the frame for insurances reasons.

you would need to do a bunch of mods to make it work! but anything is possible with enough money and time.

Keep your cab & front clip together, it will make fitting much easier.

Can you expand on why keeping the front clip together helps? Strictly easier to align?

Primarily Mike, keeping it all together will make all mount points hit when contact is made. Plus you don't have to align the fenders & doors again. You have 6 connect points when kept all together.

Should hold down the awh sheet moments too.
