lookin to buy 93-97 f-350

I would like a clean reg cab f-350 5 spd 4x4 PSD or 460 prefer 350 but would take 250 if it was clean and nice. What should i look for on these trucks pre purchase and where is a good place to find one? I'm in Montrose,Co but willing to go elsewhere. Thanks

download firefox web browser http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/ and then go to crazedlist.com

You can look state wide or a couple states at a time for the truck you want! I'd go with the PSD they are easier on the wallet at gas stations and can pull anything! Plus the engine itself just lasts longer. The 93-94.5 are still IDI diesels and are way cheaper on parts... you can find them with aftermarket turbos or put one on yourself so they create just as much power as the PSD's. Unless you are rich the 460 is only going to get you 10mpgs max... 4-6 when towing...

Just curious what the browser has to do with it? IE won't run crazedlist?
Looking for a truck, check craigslist, ebay, don't know if Montrose has any decent car lots. There is a new car lot up here that always has a couple 93-97 ford pickups on the lot, ask a premium for them but they are usually nice. Might have to drive a ways to find one. I won't even get into the gas/diesel thing, it's already been run into the ground several times and I'm not sure there is a clear winner. I've owned both over the last few years. Find one of each, even if it's an extended cab and test dive it. See which one YOU like the best.

crazedlist requires a change in the browsers programing that Internet Explorer won't let you do...

You download firefox, do the change (it's only changing a "2" to a "1"... very easy!) and then you go to crazedlist and you can select all the craigslist areas you want to search and you search them all at once... No backing up to go to the next city closest to you and the next... and the next... backing up and searching all cities individually sux and takes a long time.... Crazedlist allows you to search all the cities you want at once... go try it... If you like craigslist you LOVE crazedlist!!!!!

thanks for the crazedlist info. That is an awesome timesaver. How would I contact that dealership that had the 97s on it? I would be interested in getting ahold of them to see what was available. Thanks for the info

If your'e refering to the place I mentioned, it's called parkway chev in deer park,wa. You can google it. Doesn't look like they have any 350's though. There is a low mileage 97 reg cab 4x4 one on CL in spokane, wa. Guy wants top dollar. It would be quite a drive from Montrose. No luck finding anything closer?

thanks for the info. a 250 would work if it is nice. I looked on ksl, auto trader, truckpaper, oodle, and carsforsale.com, found some nice ones, but all the nice ones are autos, I want a 5 spd. I'll keep my eyes out. If anyone sees one anywhere, Let me know.

Good luck luck finding a 460 5 speed truck. I know, it took me more than 3 months finding mine 10 years ago when these truck were REALLY prevalent.

Its a shame you are not closer. My brother has a Reg cab F350 460 5spd and 35s for 3k

Try SearchTempest - The EASY way to search Craigslist

Similar to the site previously posted, but easier to use and doesn't require a browser change. This is how I found my '96 F-150 last month

That 460/5sp is kinda scarce, the luck I will need. I think I will probably go with a PSD/5spd or even the previous "TURBO DIESEL" I found one of those, a 94 5 spd on ksl for under 7k 104K miles what you guys think? I'll try the new CL link. Thanks.

wholely depends on the truck and how well it's been taken care of. I've seen some 200+K trucks I would have paid 9K for (if I had the $$$) and some 50-120K trucks that I wouldn't have spent $1500 on b/c the previous owners trashed them.
