Went out to the truck today and it'll crank over, but wont start. Glow plugs were replace din 09, glow plug relay in 2010, and the tach moves while it turns over, so I don't think it's the CPS.

What could it be? I need this truck up and running ASAP!

 

Does the Wait To Start light come on when you turn the key on?

 

Are you getting any smoke? Do you have your WTS light?

 

Yes the WTS light is on, didnt check to see if any smoke came out.

Called my boss who is another stroke onwer, and he said the crank pos sensor. I go to autozone and they said that the truck doesnt come with a crank sensor, but a cam pos sensor, so they sold me one of those.

 

CPS is a good WAG. It is located next to the "harmonic balancer" (10mm bolt).

It was the CPS, got it changed out. But had to get a grey one from autozone, I'll be ordering a black one shortly to keep on hand.

I would get the black one and change it....keep the gray one on hand.....then re-order the black one, JMO
