So I got a couple questions bout my Ranger: 1999 XLT Extended Cab Stepside 4.0l V6 Auto Transmission.

What kind of transmission fluid is safe to use? I plan to replace filter when I get home from Iraq, I just wanna see whats safe and whats not so good.

 

You should use Motorcraft Mercon V fluid.
