F10JL570936 / WB 114 / color IS blank / Model F101 / Body 181 / Trans D / Axle 12 / GVW: 4200 / Cert. net HP-? / RPM - ? / DSO - ?
Welcome to FTE

F10 = F100 2WD

J = 223 1V I-6.

L = Michigan Truck Assembly Plant.

570936 = 1964, assembled July 1964.

114" Wheelbase.

COLOR code blank.

F101 = F100 2WD, 4200 lbs. GVWR

181: 1 = Light Gray Crush Vinyl & Light Gray Rib Vinyl // 81 = 81A Standard Cab.

D = Borg Warner T-89C Medium Duty 3 speed Manual Transmission (special order).

12 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.89-1 / non Limited Slip / 3,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity.

4,200 lbs. Gross Vahicle Weight Rating.

Cert. net HP omitted.

RPM omitted.

DSO omitted.

If you had posted the DSO, it would have 6 digits. The first 2 are for the Ford District Sales Office the truck was originally ordered from.

The last 4 digits denote a Domestic Special Order. The COLOR code is blank because the truck was painted a non standard color.

The T-89C trans was a special order if equipped w/the 223.

I would like to thank you for the information this is a lot more information than I ever expected to get. So far the information you provided matches the the truck, so It looks like I have the factory engin transmission and rear end. I have the DSQ # 210834. Again thanks I look forward to my first restoration project.

21 = Atlanta GA Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

0834 = Domestic Special Order number. The truck was ordered special by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."

The non standard color and the T-89C trans were both special orders.

I was told that this truck was a state of Alabama road construction it is brite orange that explains the special color and has no rust due to the undercoating from the asphalt. Thanks again
