need help please
ok i have posted on here before and got no help i need help and ideas i have 2000 ford excursion 4x4 v10 auto i keep getting code p1299 cylinder head over protection code i changed the cylinder head temp sensor and the temp gauge sensor its not over heating no water boiling over in over flow tank checked temp with a tester not showing hot changed water pump t- stat flushed out system had a block test done no showing of emission in water. its costing me money i dont have. the problem i having it will go into limp mode then u have to pull over let it sit for couple mins the restart it the temp gage will go back to normal then it will run with full power please please read and help i dont know what to do now thank u for taking time to read this

I just looked at your previous posts about this problem and saw where others have chimed in trying to help you. You may not have solved your problem, and the idea's people have chimed in with to try and help may not be working, but don't say you "got no help."

thats not what i mean i know i got help dont take it the wrong way sir i meant to say i need more help im no good with words so im srry if i made people mad i know all forms are answered as can im just trying to find answers i done all people told me to do no change so im srry for miss info please take this as im srry thanks all for great help

You have replaced a number of parts, but the issue still seems to be an overheat condition. The code shown is then a result of the overheated head.
This could be a tough one to find since you indicate it clears almost magically with a short period of cooldown.
Some foreign matter in that particular head that intermittently blocks some passages is a possibility.
It would be interesting to see what an infrared temp reading on each head is when this happens. If one is overheated and the other not, then a blockage would be a definite possibility.
If all other parts are working as designed (thermostat/pump/radiator), then it almost would have to be a blockage problem.
A back flush through the engine without the radiator and heater(s) connected could tell the story.
This doesn't sound like it's going to be an easy one.
