what programmer to use for better mpg

i have a 2006 f350 crew cab long bed. no mods done to engine or anything. i was looking for better mpg from a programmer or other types of fixes if anyone has any suggestions......as of right now im getting 12.5 to 13mpg in the city witch probably isnt that bad for what it is......but if i could get 2+ mpg or better i think it probably be worth it over time.....

so any suggestions of what you guys have used to better your mileage would be appreciated

i suggest SCT with custom tunes. 99% of the guys on here will agree. you will see a better improvement on the highway though. then again it all depends on how you run it. if you dog it then its not gonna do much. just depends on the driver on how much they get out of it.

I have a 2006 F350 too and I just installed my ScanGaugeII and use the real time MPG reading to see how my driving impacts gas mileage. I'm excited about adding at least 3-4 MPGs, just by adjusting how I drive the beast.

i rarely get into it. normal driving is below 10lbs of boost, and try to coast as much as possible.
i was looking into sct and found one review from someone with a f350 diesel crew cab Harley edition and he said he now gets 20mpg im assuming high way. but thats probably pretty good for a f350. sct looks like its pretty good im a look into it a little harder.
i just dont want to spend alot of money and not get results. so im curious to see who has put on what and what there gains or losses have been.

like i said 99% of us on here are either stock or have an SCT. SCT is one of the best out there for these trucks. by the sounds of it you will gain mileage but im not gonna go out and tell you you really are and you might not see what you want to see.

yeah i hear you rdunagan, i like going by word of mouth, and i guess it all depends on who does the custom tuning to what your going to get out of it.

i ordered my tuner and then paid matt to send me the tunes through email. all you do is send him money, vin, strategy, and he sends you tunes and then if something isnt right he retunes and reworks things until they are! great guy to deal with and excellent customer service!
