This would best be confined to your Chapter's forum.

I would have just done that, but most users of the forum don't ever go to that section.

I wouldn't say that's true at all but it's largely irrelevant so we won't go there.

More to the point, people are complaining to us that you're posting the exact same message (aka spamming) the forums with this.

FTE is a community. If you were to go and help people in each of the technical forums in which you post this message, it might be looked at by the admins differently.

But the forums you're posting in are the technical forums, generally used for technical Q & A, not so much social chit-chat much less advertising of future events.

So, please reconsider how you're going about spreading the word of your meet-n-greet and be aware that people are complaining to the FTE admins about your present method.

I did not intend to ruffle any feathers.

If everyone feels it is spamming then delete them.

I was just trying to spread the word.

I know that most people in the forum generally only go to the section that pertains to their truck.

Also in the section I frequent there is alot of non tech threads.

Yes, I'm pretty sure you're not trying to do anything devious or malicious.

I understand what you're wanting to do, but when others start complaining about how you're going about it, to suggest that somebody else go through the work of cleaning up after you is more than a bit presumptuous.

You seem to spend a lot of time in 87-96. There are three moderators there and a cursory look-see shows no significant amount of spam or inappropriate postings. I think the computer-generated statistics would prove more substantial than your opinions & hearsay.

In any event, please stop arguing and trying to justify your actions. The Guidelines you agreed to when you first joined FTE are still in effect, and one of them in particular states:
  • Posting, providing, transmitting or otherwise making available any junk mail or spam
