As the question begs an answer. What have you all been doing for oil changes? Intervals and products used.

I had my 1st oil change at 2,500 miles, 2nd at 6,000 miles, and will get the 3rd one at 10,000 miles. I will get oil changes from then on at every 5,000 mile intervals.

Changing oil too soon may be wasting the cash, but I do it for peace of mind. I just don't think I could go any over the 5,000 mile interval.

The service dept. has been putting in MC 5w30 blend in my EcoBoost and I will probably continue with this.

I've done two oil changes on my folks' Flex so far every 2500 miles or so. Wix filter and Valvoline 5W-20.

Might try talking my dear ol' dad into stretching that interval to 3000 or maybe even 3500 miles. With only 21K miles on it, I think the oil comes out cleaner than it goes in...

I'm going to do my first oil change around 2000. After that I'll probably go 5000-7500.

The dealer will do my first one for free at 3K and then I'll likely settle into a 7500 mile routine.

My main concern was the mount of heat coming from under the hood and weather or not the oil can stand up beyond 5K. I've never owned a turbo engine, but, this one puts a big *** on my face. I want to do all the right things right and keep that glowing for many years to come.

First one done by me at 2600 miles using Fl-2055 filter and Pennzoil Platinum 10w-30 oil. Second one just changed oil at 6100 miles with same PP 10w-30. At 10k will conduct Oil and Filter changes every 5k miles using Ford filter and PP oil...
