I searched but didnt find anything. Im looking for opinions on radiators. About the only thing left stock on my 74 f100 is the body. With that said, I am planning for the built 460 that has been at the machine shop for awhile now and I am to that stage where I need to choose the radiator. It orginally had a Supercooler, so the rad support is the correct one for that application. I want to use an aluminum radiator mainly for weight reasons, and I am curious what you guys think. Any advantage to cross flow versus the original vertical flow?
With a cross flow you will need a catch tank for coolant, other then that I don't think you will notice any differance. Just make sure you get a big enough one for your hp. Don't skimp. Nothing more frustrating then putting in one only to find out that its not enough and have to fab in something new.
I agree with that whole heartedly. The 460 will be healthy, but not radical. I think I am going to look for an aluminum version as close to the original supercooler as I can find. I just thought maybe there were more benefits to a cross flow then just space restrictions that I wasnt aware of.
