What is this part and port?

The below image is inside my 1993 F150 4x4 351WThe item has what looks like a vacuum port on the bottom the orange looking object in for ground is actually a white plastic vacuum hose that goes to than item. It comes out of the harness with two others that go to emissions canister ( The coffee can looking one ) it got melted off with the header pipe you can see. It melted itself closed so there is no leak fficeffice" /><O></O>
What is it, and used for what? Is it important to get reconnected? <O></O>
Thanks in advanceJ<O></O>
BTW it passed inspection so another F150 back on the road. Been sitting in my garage for 7 years over 7 years it acquired 20 miles since last inspection.

That's part of the Thermactor air injection system, you'll probably get a code with that vacuum line disconnected but it's not anything that will affect engine operation as long as there are no vacuum leaks.

No codes showing on the OBD-I Scanner and no Light on dash, Must be sealed good. Would you know the part name, Would like to get it replaced and can not find a diagram on line anywhere that refers to the part, lots of explainations on the system it'self but no parts or diagrams with that specific item
