FTE T-shirt Design Contest
Ford Truck Enthusiasts isseeking a new design for their t-shirt and bumper sticker.
The winner will receive site recognition, and a four year ClubFTE membership.
The rules are simple:
The design must incorporate the spirit of Ford Truck Enthusiasts community and should not be limited to a specific model or year, and not more than two different year trucks in any one design.
The art work must be capable of being reproduced on a T-shirt, meaning the design cannot be extremely intricate.
No licensed logos
Winning design will be property of InternetBrands.com

Intricacy as applied to a shirt is how many colors and what format?
"should not be limited to a specific model or year, and not more than two different year trucks" Yikes - Umm... 2?
*kicks himself for not getting a vector graphics program ages ago*
Xara would have done fine. Vector graphics scale everything as a percent - so you can do a big image easily
The last time I looked at logos and things the image file size is the stumbling block I couldn't get over. If you want to see that at it's worst, download an official picture of the President or a military officer (secnav, for example)
A t-shirt ought to be much lower res, but size changes everything. 8X10 printed is a lot of pixels...
(8X10 on a monitor is not the same at all)
But IBI has artists that can scale a logo up or down, right?

This may sound like a stupid idea - BUT - why not just print the FTE logo as it is = simple / clear / approved design. OR is FTE getting different designs for different years like some clubs do for yearly events ?

To "WHOMEVER" - Just a thought = what is the chance of getting a "club JACKET" ? I'm thinking a light to medium windbreaker like MANY clubs have when they go to a meeting/roundup/GTG/ swap meet or whatever.

Don't worry about the size it can be scaled to the shirt, I would think the bigger you do the art work the easier it would be....to a point.

I'm in the mist of maken one. Do we get a free shirt if we win???
EDIT: May I post a photo of the shirt I am Designing? I would like to know if it is just to much to print out. I don't want to finish it and you tell me its to much to print on a shirt.
