Mine is different because since I replaced the carb I have to pour a little gas down it for the first start of the day, and it idles at about 3000 RPMs and I have NO idea how to fix that.

A friend of mine had a great idea because he had the same problem and was never able to solve it. If you rig a primer pump inline to the carb all you would have to do is reach in there filter on and squeeze that pump a couple times. Hope it helps.

You know, it sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Did you replace the carb mounting gasket when you switched out carbs?

Sure did, I had to cut one myself from some gasket material. Maybe I should go buy a real one, if any of the stores around here have one.

What makes mine different? Hmmm well I bought my 1979 F250 Ranger 4wd off a friend for $200... fixed er up... put in a, far as I know, stock 351m straight piped (and sounds AWESOME!!!), the homemade flatbed.....

the bullet hole in the hood ()

the 73-77 front bumper with a 78-79 push bar,

the repainted headliner (used krylon farm implement spray paint)

and too much more to list.... but I LOVE MY TRUCK
