The first thing a lot of people need to pack when they go off road is common sense...

I tend to forget it sometimes, and it never works out well...

 

A spare distributor, just incase you would ever would get washed out.

 

Or you could spray wd40 on it like a normal person

 

i dont really have anywhere to go 'super serious offroading' here BUT when we go to the mudrace we have Jacks Generators impact wrench and compressor along with a too box with rachchet's and Opened end wrenches from the 3/8's to roughly 1"

 

And sometimes I pack my little 110v mig welder in case I blow a set of spiders so I can continue to race.

 

dang, you could bring so much that you could use cause who knows whats going to break and when. Basically i always either make sure my winch is on and working (Or before i had a winch i would bring a friend that had a lifted 4x4 and chain) extra straps, jack, spare tire, spare u-joints. jumper cables etc.

 

I carry the following: Folding military shovel, towstrap , 2in hitch with pin for for the tow strap, some basic tools, wd-40, flares, 2 gal of water, small compression sleeping bag, some mountain house meals, small hiking pan with lid, flashlight, sterno stove.
