Hi there,
I have a couple of questions that I hope somebody can answer. First off I am restoring a 1949 F47 and it came with the original <a href="http://www.motorhaven.com/">flathead</a> V8. I was thinking of putting in adjustable lifters, dose anyone know where to find a good set?
Also dose anyone know where I can find the paint code for the grill insert, I know that it was biege. I have used dupont paint so far and would like to continue with that brand. If anyone knows where I can find some kind of number that would be a great help.
If the colour of the grill insert is Tucson Tan the colour code is M-14227. The ditzler code is DQE-20394-DAL. You can find this code and practicily any other paint code online at www.autocolorlibrary.com .Tucson Tan is listed under 1948 Ford car.

I have gotten a lead on a set of adjustable lifters for my flathead, but I cannot find any prices. I saw a set on e-bay for $208 us. Is this a good price? I also got a lead to speedwaymotors and cannot find anything. I just want a good set for my truck. Anything that I get from you guys is a great help.
It's according to if they are the hollow lifters or not. If they are hollow Reds has them for that same price (makes you wonder huh?) and in speedwaymotors they have them in the flathead section of the streetrod catalog, not the racing catalog. But they only have the heavy types as far as I know, and they were running at $139 as my 2002 catalog says.
