95 F150 value

Guys, I am not one to ask for truck value question, but I am not into F150s

Friend of mine is looking at a truck in VA. Supercab short box 302 5speed XLT 4-6" lift and 33-35s Looks like it has been repainted(why?) and currently has steering issues but they are "fixing" that. What do you think it is worth? looks clean in pics, but even garbage can photograph well

1995 Ford F150 4WD with powerful V8, 5.0L engine and driven only 33,976, miles!LIFT KIT, MANUAL TRANSMISSION, SUPER CLEAN TRUCK....CARFAX CERTIFIED**FINANCING AVAILABLE**

I'm a cheap *****, but I wouldn't give more than 3k for it. Especially if it wasn't regeared for the tires.

Powerful 5.0. Haha.

Really though, a vehicle like this, that's already been modified, is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Personally, I won't buy a modified vehicle, simply because most times things were done incorrectly and it creates more work than buying a stock vehicle and modifying it myself.

It has the "Powerful 302" and a 5 speed (which I'm sure is the Mazda) and doesn't say it was regeared, and has "steering issues"? Doesn't seem all that tough mechanically. And the steering problem would make me leery, especially if they botch it together. The tires aren't brand new either, or at least they don't look like it. But, being as clean as it looks in the picture, I'd say 3000 to 3300 tops.

Boy you guys are cheap LOL.

They are asking $7,900. Which I didnt think was too bad for a southern truck with 30k on it

How confident are you that the mileage is legit? An actual 30K-mile vehicle doesn't usually get painted. The quality of the paint job matters, although I'd argue any paint job on a 30K-mile vehicle detracts from the value.

Carfax says it is true. I know in NJ and in PA, they keep track of the milage at inspection. But I dont know what they do in VA

VA is even more stringent on records, so if the Carfax says it's legitimate, it must be.

To each their own, but I can't imagine why anyone would want a 302 with a lift and tires like that.

800-1k.(just to resell.)
sorry,you asked.not a fan of lifts,large power/economy and traction robbing tires,short beds,302's,or mazda trans.
it's not really a good setup Brad.especially if not re-geared like stated, and the re-paint on a 30k mile truck skyrockets red flag.i just don't see 8 grand.even if someone did put it up and didn't use it.half that price is still asking top buck.
i like the f150's as much as the next guy.id run one again if it's all i needed and enjoy it more than the hd truck, but not at that price,as pretty as it may be.

you know what 8 grand can buy.nice shape HD 7.3l psd truck territory and get 10x the truck.

I would be concerned that the fender flares and new paint were to cover up notoriously rusty fenderwells and lips.
2nd concern is the 302 with those tires could be outrun by a 300 I-6 with an automatic (not that theres anything wrong with the 6 banger)

Right. And/or accident damage which may not have ever been recorded.

I know you said it checked out okay with CARFAX, but was there annual data in the database, and if so, from what state? i.e. Was it really a southern car all it's life with annual data-points to back up the 30K mileage as actually being legit?

It's a niche vehicle with a very limited pool of potential buyers. As such, the seller is going to need to be very patient; at the current asking price, that translates to "forever patient".

Truck was sold today, so that is out the window.

She just sold her 95 F350 5speed 4wd factory turbo truck. She does NOT want another diesel. Nor need the added reg , fuel and maintenance costs

She is looking for a CLEAN 1/2 ton that is a stick. The lift and tires were just a bonus.

O well, back on the hunt
